Free Culture is a movements spawned in part by a book entitled "Free Culture: How Big Media Uses Technology and the Law to Lock Down Culture and Control Creativity" by Lawrence Lessig. Free Culture is a student movement working to make culture freer, in the sense of enabling creators to have the means to share and colaborate freely. Free Culture Carleton is working towards these ends by promoting Free Software, Creative Commons, and fair copyright law.
